    Performance Problem with Ultragauge Designer

    Hi,

I have to generate my own gauge with Radial and Digital Gauge. I have currently 2 different problems:

    1. The Performance of the Designer is very slow (I am using VS2008 under Vista with user-Rights), is there an trick to get the Designer faster? It always seems that the Application hungs, if I click anywhere. Then after 10 seconds or so it answers again... I also had the Feature that the application crashes :-(

    2. If I use for example BasicWhite06 Gauge, and add an Digital Gauge, i am not able to place an little Digital Display in the Gauge. I want that it looks like in a Car (km-counter). Is there a trick or an tutorial how to do this?

     Thanks a lot

    Andreas

Re: Performance Problem with Ultragauge Designer

1: i know the performance of initially displaying the gauge designer is a bit slow, but i haven't heard of performance problems during use.  the crashing issue, however, was fixed in the 8.2 release and also in a hotfix for prior versions ... so perhaps upgrading will resolve the slowness as well as the crashing.

2: there is no tutorial for this task, but if you look at the ASP.NET samples browser under Charting > WebGauge > Gauge Layers, you can see how this is done.  i don't think there is any trick to it, you just need to add a SegmentedDigitalGauge to the gauges collection after your RadialGauge.
