    SubItemColumns Editable in ListView

this is not the correct thread for my problem but i cant find a listview thread. :s

i have an ultralistview with 5 Columns, 1 Main and 4 SubItemColumns,
for the first column i have the option 'listview.itemsettings.AllowEdit = true'
and the user can edit the value for the first column at runtime.
but the 4 SubItemColumns are strictly uneditable for the user. what i can i do to change
    this ?

    uneditable thanks
    sebastian

Nothing. Editing of sub-items is not supported (this is also the case with the Windows Explorer and the .NET ListView). Support for editing all columns is extended by both the UltraGrid and UltraTree controls.

woaaaah ... this is bullshit :(

i have checkboxes in the third column in my ultralistview and and the user can't
click on the boxes to change a state...

thanks to miike for moving my posting..next time i will do it better.

Is there a hack around this? Overriding any methods in a sub class? I would think that a partial point of having a control suite like infragistics is to get around the limitations of windows controls.

If you need more than one editable column, why not use UltraWinGrid or UltraWinTree?

Because you can’t organize items into a Group with the gradient blue bar as you can in a ListView.
